Alpha Aviation Mission Outreach Center Inc.
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, it is a joy to share the latest Alpha news with you. We certainly have been busy going about doing our Father’s business.
Apaseo el Alto
In the month of April we went to the central part of Mexico to the small town of Apaseo del Alto in the state of Guanajuato. We were the invited guests of Dr. Victor Olvera and his lovely wife Dr. Lucia Herrera in their beautiful home. They have a clinic called La Clinica del Dolor, (The Pain Clinic) where they treat many patients every month using alternative methods to ease pain and heal many serious diseases. Victor and Lucia also are pastors of a small church there in the city and we were privileged to minister to their flock on Friday night and then on Sunday morning. We are excited to have their oldest son Emanuel here in Muskogee getting prepared with Alpha Aviation so that he can assist his parents in their ministry to reach the lost and heal the sick throughout all of Mexico using aviation. We have been invited to join them at their annual conference in Cancun at the end of July where many Godly men and women will come together to rest, fellowship and seek God’s face.
Our oldest son Benjamin just arrived from Mexico to join the Alpha family. His wife and children will join him in a couple of months after the kids finish school. We are very excited to have him here with us and we know that God has great things in store for him and his precious family in the years to come. He is going to be working closely with Randy to upgrade our website and help us in many areas of the ministry.
Pastor Saul Gonzalez and two brothers from Puerto Vallarta joined us for our May Prayer luncheon and it was a wonderful time of fellowship and prayer. Pastor Saul shared a word of vision and encouraged all that were present to join us in supporting us in the purchase of a Beechcraft Bonanza airplane to use for our trips and for establishing a base in Mexico. This aircraft is one that Randy feels we need in our fleet because of its powerful 300 hp motor and that it is energy efficient because it only uses a third of the fuel that the Cessna 421 burns. For many of our trips we need this plane because of its ability to reach high altitudes very comfortably to go over the mountain ranges in Mexico. Pastor Saul was one of the first to donate $1,000 dollars for one horse power. We are believing for 300 people that will donate 1 horse power at $1,000. The total of $300,000 would cover the cost of purchasing the plane, updating the radios and other things necessary for its efficient operation and setting up the base in Mexico. Please pray about joining this effort to protect the anointed by keeping them safe from the very dangerous roads in Mexico.
“His House”
When Randy and I were returning from our last trip to Mexico the Lord revealed to me His heart’s desire. Just to give you a little background, this June will be four years since the Lord brought me back to the U.S. When I stepped on U.S. soil the Holy Spirit told me that I was going to come back to this land where my forefathers had prayed and planted seeds and that I was going to be the answer to their prayers. Many times during these past four years Randy and I have talked about starting a church here in Muskogee, but in my spirit there was always a NO! The last thing Muskogee or any other place needs is ANOTHER CHURCH! Throughout these past years both Randy and I would notice buildings that would be a possible option for a church, but nothing more. We kept praying, Father, what do you want here in Muskogee and on our flight home from Mexico a couple of weeks ago, we received the answer. I was studying for our Tuesday night Prayer/Bible study and the lesson for the next day was about Ministering to the Lord.
Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon, that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
As they MINISTERED TO THE LORD, and FASTED, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away
So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus. Acts 13:1-4
Oftentimes the only kind of prayers that we hear in our congregations are the prayers of petitions, asking God to give us something or to do something for us. It is scriptural to pray the prayer of petition and have our needs met, but when we read this text we can see that they weren’t asking God for anything, they were MINISTERING TO THE LORD AND FASTING! They were praying by praising and worshipping Him! We need to come together as His Body and praise and worship Him with all our hearts, souls, minds and strength. We need to not only do this kind of praying as individuals, but also in groups because as we just read it says that “THEY” ministered to the Lord!
There was such a check in my spirit as I read these words. The author said that he felt sure that God would speak more to Christians today as He did to Saul and Barnabas in Acts 13 if Christians would take more time to minister to the Lord. He was sharing about some meetings that had been running for about six weeks and decided that three nights a week he wanted them to come to the services JUST TO MINISTER to the Lord. He said that they weren’t going to petition God for anything, but as a group they were going to wait upon the Lord and just minister to Him! When I read that my spirit just jumped with a YES!!! I underlined it in my book and wrote THIS IS IT! Upon announcing that he told the people that if they didn’t want to do that then to please not come to those services so they wouldn’t hinder the rest of them.
We miss out on many things in life because we don’t take the time to get into the right attitude of worship and to the right place of worship in order to minister to the Lord.
So I have shared all of this to announce that every Saturday night at 6:00 we are coming together in our home to do just that. We have opened up our hearts to minister to the Lord of Lords and King of Kings who is worthy of our praise. So if you long for more of His Presence in your life and ministry, because God is seeking a people who will worship Him in spirit and in truth.
